Taiwan SoC Consortium

Founded in 2000 by ITRI, The Taiwan SoC Consortium (formerly the Silicon IP Consortium) is a non-profit organization with the mission to build Taiwan into a global SoC implementation center by strengthening industry competitiveness, promoting innovation-oriented IP services, and facilitating the creation of a strong SoC design environment. We also act as the best gateway to networking and doing business with the Taiwan SoC industry.


Tampere University of Technology

Tampere University of Technology conducts high-standard research in active interaction with industry. TUT provides versatile research, product development and consultation services which flexibly combine expertise from various fields of technology and economy. The University's expertise is utilized by Tampere Technology Centre Hermia and the Tampere units of the Technical Research Centre of Finland VTT, among others. Together with these establishments, TUT has created a concentration of more than 10 000 technology professionals in the Hervanta suburb, which has particular importance in the development of the Tampere region.

Technical University of Denmark

Founded in 1829 by the Danish physicist Hans Christian Orsted, the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) is the leading center of engineering education and research in Denmark, and the largest technical university in Northern Europe. The OCP membership rests with the System-on-Chip group of the section for Computer Science and Engineering in the department of Informatics and Mathematical Modeling.

Tower Semiconductor, Ltd

Tower is an independent CMOS foundry providing: complementary manufacturing and design services; advanced non-volatile memory solutions; mixed-signal; and CMOS image-sensors. Tower maintains two facilities: Fab 1 (1.0 - 0.35) produces up to 20,000 150mm wpm. Fab 2 (0.18 and below, including foundry-standard) will offer production capacity of 33,000 200mm wpm.


TransEDA

TSMC

UMC

University of Castilla-La Mancha

The group of Computer Architecture and Networks (ARCO) of the University of Castilla-La Mancha has wide experience in the area of embedded system design and CAD methods and tools. Its members, all of them professors or lecturers at the School of Computer Science, have participated in different research projects in these areas, funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Technology, the European Commission (through the ESPRIT, OMI, Eureka and HCM programmes) and the NATO, as well as funded by different companies such as Telefónica (the Spanish telephone company) or Alcatel. The group members are quite active in several research topics as hardware-software codesign (they participated in the COBRA project, the first EC funded project devoted to this topic), platform -based design and reconfigurable architectures. As application field, their interests focus on distributed and networked systems as the basis for new ubiquitous computing and ambient intelligence architectures. Their work has been published in the main conferences and journals as well as in several books.


University of Houston

UH Cullen College of Engineering has produced five U.S. astronauts, ten members of the National Academy of Engineering, and degree programs that have ranked in the top ten nationally. With more than 2,600 students, the college offers accredited undergraduate and graduate degrees in biomedical, chemical, civil and environmental, electrical and computer, industrial, and mechanical engineering. It also offers specialized programs in aerospace, materials, petroleum engineering and telecommunications.

VDEC

VLSI Design and Education Center (VDEC), which is located in the University of Tokyo and shared by users all over Japan, was established in May, 1996. As an intellectual education center on VLSI (Very Large Scale Integration) technology, VDEC aims at improvements of instruction on VLSI design and supports on VLSI chip fabrication for national universities, public universities, private universities and colleges in Japan. For these purposes, VDEC performs various kinds of activities including distributing VLSI design information, providing CAD software and licenses and supporting chip fabrications.

VSI Alliance - Only Web site exists

The VSI Alliance (VSIA) is an open, international organization that includes representatives from all segments of the SoC industry: System houses, Semiconductor vendors, Electronic Design Automation (EDA) companies, and Intellectual Property (IP) providers. VSIA's vision is to dramatically improve the productivity of SoC development by specifying open standards and specifications that facilitate the integration of software and hardware Virtual Components from multiple sources. Many companies have adopted the use of VSIA specifications, standards and documents. VSIA has wide industry participation with more than 100 member companies from around the world. Membership is open to any company with an interest in the development and promotion of open standards used in the design of SoC.


VTT Electronics

VTT Electronics is one of the research institutes of the Technical Research Centre of Finland. VTT Electronics provides contract research services in areas of telecommunications, embedded software, advanced interactive systems and optoelectronics. VTT Electronics has extensive experience in electronics and telecommunications research, and has participated in a number of national and international projects. The OCP is expected to play a role in our research on computing platform architectures both for communication and application processing systems. The computing platforms are integrated and managed sets of features that enable effective implementations of complete product families. The architecture contains both the structures and design methodologies associated to the design and use of platforms.


Washington State University

Founded in 1890 in Pullman, Washington State University is the state's land-grant research university with some 23,000 students enrolled on four campuses and through distance degree programs. Ranked as a top-tier research university by the Carnegie Foundation, WSU offers some 300 fields of study, including more than 150 majors plus many minors, options and certificate programs.

The School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at WSU has a total of 43 faculty, about 500 undergraduates and 100 graduate students.
