The Virtual Component Exchange Joins Open Core Protocol International Partnership

VCX Gateway now live on OCP-IP Web site

PORTLAND, ORE. and LIVINGSTON, SCOTLAND — August 12, 2002 — Open Core Protocol International Partnership (OCP-IP) and the Virtual Component Exchange (VCX) today jointly announced that the VCX has joined the organization. In addition, OCP-IP is now a VCX Gateway Partner: the VCX TradeFloor can now be accessed directly from the OCP-IP Web site through a VCX Gateway search engine.

“The VCX is focused on producing software tools and services that simplify the trading of Intellectual Property to close the design gap and reduce time-to-market for SOC products,” said Andy Travers, president of the VCX. “We are proud to support and champion industry standards that can ensure interoperability of the third party IP cores traded on the VCX.”

“We are delighted to have the VCX join OCP-IP,” said Ian Mackintosh, president OCP-IP. “As the provider of the only complete, fully supported, and freely available SoC design socket, OCP-IP supports the open trading of IP cores made possible through the VCX.

About VCX
The Virtual Component Exchange is a unique Business-to-Business (B2B) software and E-commerce company focused on producing Internet tools for trading Intellectual Property.
